Prabeer Barpanda, who received his Ph. D. in Materials Science & Engineering from Rutgers University in 2008, has received an Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship.

Prabeer Barpanda, who received his Ph. D. in Materials Science & Engineering from Rutgers University in 2008, has received an Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship. He is spending 1 year at the Helmholtz Institute in Ulm, Germany, a premier center for research on electrochemical energy storage. The Humboldt Foundation enables highly qualified scholars from around the world to carry out research in Germany. This is a prestigious award and we congratulate Prabeer. Dr. Barpanda is an Associate Professor at the Materials Research Centre and the Faraday Materials Laboratory, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India.
