Inaugural Davidge Award winner is our own Cekdar Vakifahmetoglu

Cekdar Vakifahmetoglu, a post-doctoral associate working with Professor Richard Riman, has been selected as the winner of the inaugural Davidge award for his review on the "Fabrication and properties of ceramic ID nanostructures from preceramic polymers".  His review is published in Vol. 110, Issue 4 of "Advances in Applied Ceramics."  The award is run by the Editorial Board of Advances in Applied Ceramics and is open to postgraduates worldwide.  In the words of the publisher, Dr. Vakifahmetoglu's review was a "well-written and thorough account of the subject that contains some stunning images".

All of us here at MSE are happy and proud to count Cekdar as a valued member of our department.
